Our Agreenments
-
What's shared in the group stays in the group. Members commit to not discussing personal stories or details shared by others outside the meeting space.
-
Focus on your own experience rather than giving advice or making assumptions about others. Use phrases like "I feel" or "In my experience" rather than "You should" or "People always."
-
Respect the group's time by being concise and intentional with your sharing. Avoid repeating the same points or monopolizing the discussion. Practice the principle of "step up, step back" - if you haven't spoken much, step up; if you've shared extensively, step back and listen.
-
Practice deep listening without immediately jumping to solutions or advice-giving. Sometimes being heard is more valuable than being fixed.
-
Show up consistently, arrive on time, and be fully present. Put away phones and other distractions to create a sacred space for authentic connection.
-
Create space for emotional honesty while respecting that each person shares at their comfort level: no pressure to share more than feels right, but encouragement to stretch beyond the surface.
-
No sharing another man’s story or sharing on social media. Privacy is paramount.
